Although it has been over a month, I don’t think I can ever get over the excitement of being part of Mango Art Festival 2025. For my artistic growth, I think being in a festival had many advantages, like meeting a diverse group of artists that have different approaches to express themselves, making new friends and exchanging information on art related subjects. I would definitely do it again, however I have to admit it is not something to do every 3 months because it is really tiring…maybe it depends how long it is 🙂 MAF 25 was 5 days long and it was actually great to attract enough attention for such a big event but also hard on the artists, especially for the ones who are in a small booth like me, and it was 95 of us on the ground floor. Many artists in the Newcomer Zone that I was in had so much potential for being recognized; it was definitely an amazing opportunity to be seen! Going up you’d see the Independent Artist section and Gallery Zone that had a mix of emerging and mid-career artists who have been exhibiting their art in more spaced out environment. The styles varied so much and seeing no limit in their art was eye opening. Even though this festival was in Bangkok, it was not limited to Thai artists; expats and artist coming from the region all welcomed and I loved how everybody was embraced equally. I think the organizers marketed the event really well and included artistic crafts, live music, talks and many more that I couldn’t even explore all. Overall it was a win for me and I’m so glad I took the chance of applying to an event that the deadline already passed.
